What the Lite build covers

Lite is the fixed-body end of the range: a 2MP or 5MP bullet, a 1080P turret, and one short varifocal bullet with a 2.7 to 13.5 mm lens. IR distance runs from 30 to 45 m depending on the body, and the metal housings are rated IP66 or IP67.

Nothing in the build is tuned per unit. You pick the resolution, the lens and the body, and the rest of the specification comes from the data sheet.

The warning light does the deterrent work

The Lite bodies carry a flashing red and blue light that switches on when human detection fires. On a shop front or a gate that is often the whole point: the camera is seen before anything happens, and the recording becomes the record of the night rather than the prevention.

The light does not replace illumination. Check the IR distance against the distance at which you must identify a person, not the distance at which you can see movement.

When Lite stops being enough

Two scenes leave Lite behind. The first is a gate facing the sun, where a fixed shutter and a narrow dynamic range wash out the frame in the afternoon. The second is identification past roughly 15 m, where a 3.6 mm lens does not put enough pixels on a face.

Both are answered higher in the range: the Pro series adds real WDR on a 6MP sensor, and the PTZ domes bring the zoom for a yard or a car park.

Figures come from the specification sheets on file. Where a sheet is silent the cell stays empty.
