For gas, dust and salt air.
Housings built for hazardous areas, including a 33X PTZ for tank farms and loading racks.
Two bodies, two jobs
One fixed camera for a wall or a vessel, one PTZ for a rack or a tank farm where the view has to move.
Explosion-proof, anti-corrosion body for pump rooms, tank walls and loading bays.
Fixed, POE33X optical zoom in an explosion-proof housing, for racks and long process lines.
PTZ, POEZone classification, certificate numbers and cable gland details come from me, per model.
Ask meWhat to settle before the quote
In hazardous areas the housing, the gland and the certificate decide the order. The camera inside is the easy part.
| Decision | Why it changes the order | Who supplies it |
|---|---|---|
| Zone and gas group | Sets the certification required for the housing | Site engineer |
| Temperature class | Sets the maximum surface temperature allowed | Site engineer |
| Cable gland and entry | Must match the certification of the body | Quoted with the camera |
| Mount and access | A PTZ needs clearance to turn and a safe service position | Installer |
| Certificate file | Customs and project acceptance ask for numbers, not logos | From me |
We do not publish certificate numbers on a web page: they are issued per model and per market, and a stale number is worse than none. Ask me for the current file.
Why the zoom matters more here
A PTZ in a process area cannot be walked up to. The only way to read a gauge, a flange or a person at a rack forty metres away is optical zoom, and 33X in an explosion-proof body covers a distance a fixed camera cannot.
The trade is mechanical: a bigger body, more weight on the bracket, and a service position that has to be reachable without scaffolding. Settle the mount before the model.
- Fixed first for pump rooms and vessel walls, where the view never moves.
- PTZ for racks, yards and long lines, where the object of interest changes.
- Anti-corrosion coating for coastal and chemical atmospheres.
- POE so the housing needs one cable, not two.
The four questions we ask back
Answer these in the first email and the quote comes back right.
- Which zone, which gas group, which temperature class, from the area classification drawing.
- Indoor or outdoor, and whether salt, acid or dust is present.
- Distance to the object you must read, and whether it moves.
- Who signs the acceptance: the operator, the EPC, or customs, because each asks for a different document.
