Kits sized for the site.
Four, eight and sixteen channel systems, plus a recorder that aggregates up to 1024 cameras.
Three ways to buy recording
A kit is the fastest route when the site is small and standard. A bare NVR is the right unit when the cameras are already chosen.
Recorder, POE ports and cameras in one carton, pre-paired, with smart AI analysis.
4CH, 8CH, 16CH4K decode, smart analysis and an audio board on the 4K8B and 4K8116 models.
NVR-4K8B28R, NVR-4K8116I-P16VMS-9-1024 pulls up to 1024 channels into one interface for multi-site projects.
VMS-9-1024Choosing the channel count
The honest sizing rule is retention and bitrate, not camera count. Use the middle column as a starting point, then confirm against your recording days.
| Kit | Typical site | What decides if it is enough |
|---|---|---|
| 4 channel | Flat, small shop, single gate | Two cameras at the entrance plus one till and one rear, one week retention |
| 8 channel | Warehouse, clinic, restaurant with yard | Perimeter plus interior aisles, plus one spare channel for a later addition |
| 16 channel | Factory floor, school, small car park | Channel count is rarely the limit; the POE budget and disk size usually are |
| 1024 channel | Multi-site project, control room | Bandwidth between sites and who operates the wall, not the recorder |
Bitrate, retention and POE budget are worked out per site. Send the channel list and the days you must keep.
The three numbers that decide the disk
Every sizing argument comes back to bitrate, channels and days. H.265 and H.265+ cut the first one, which is why the same disk holds more days than it did on H.264.
Add the POE budget before the camera list is fixed. Sixteen ports do not mean sixteen cameras at full power, and the recorder will brown out before the cameras do.
- Bitrate
- Set by resolution, frame rate and scene motion
- Channels
- Recording plus the spare you will want next year
- Retention
- Days required, not days hoped for
- POE budget
- Sum of camera draw against the recorder supply
TUYA kits for retail
A separate line for shops that want an app rather than a control room. WiFi and 4G bodies, NVRs, solar cameras and alarm products, sold as consumer packaging.
WiFi body with flame detection, aimed at retail packaging rather than project tender.
Dual network siren at 100 dB, controlled from the TUYA app.
H.265 kit with human detection and hybrid night vision.
Before the order
Four things that change the carton you get.
- Camera count per kit: the box is configured, so state the split rather than the total.
- Disk size: state retention in days and the recorder will be quoted to match.
- Plug type: destination market decides the power adapter.
- Firmware language: the interface language is set at production.
